Regular Shares

Think of a Regular Share as your first step with Instep. It’s a savings account that earns dividends while also making you a member-owner of the credit union.

• Tiered dividends paid monthly on balances of $50 and above  
• Up to 3 free withdrawals a month 
• Federally insured up to $250,000 

*Instep CU membership required. If you are not an Instep member, you must be eligible to open a Primary Share with Instep to become a member. The deposit to open a Primary Share account starts at a minimum of $6 ($1 to join + $5 minimum balance). APY=Annual Percentage Yield. Effective Date: 10/17/2026. Rates and account features are subject to change at any time. Advertised APY of 0.40% is highest for Regular Share accounts and applies to accounts with minimum balances of $50.00 and above. Primary and Regular Share account dividends are paid monthly on minimum balances of $50.00 and above. Dividends are forfeited if the account is closed prior to dividend payment. Primary and Regular share accounts allow 3 free withdrawals per month; a fee of $3 will be charged on each additional withdrawal. Instep reserves the right to limit the number of accounts allowed per member, joint or individually. Other account transfer and withdrawal limitations may apply. Fees could reduce the earnings on the account.
